To keep a long story short, we became "we" on October 9th, 2012 when Alex decided to man up and ask a very cute Emily out to dinner. Fast forward to June 14th, 2013, and the "we" became much more legal when Emily became "Mrs. Kuchta" and Alex gained an amazing daughter, Elaina. Our family grew from three to four on February 6th, 2014 with the birth of our son, Lincoln.
Amidst the chaos of family life, we have always tried to stay in touch with our passions; for Emily, this means embracing the arts as a painter, photographer, and occasional musician, while Alex prefers a much more modern approach through the form of application and website design, software development, and anything and everything pertaining to technology. As these hobbies continued to grow, our friends and family took notice, asking for our services in everything ranging from weddings to scholarship videos. From these requests, Kuchta Creative Services came into existence on October 29th, 2015.
Emily's love of art has always been an integral part of who she is - whether putting oil paint to canvas or charcoal to paper, she is most at home unleashing her creative side. As a mother, she constantly strives to nurture our children's imaginations, encouraging them to express themselves as often as possible. Her creativity and maternal bonds converge beautifully when she is behind the lens of her camera - every photo she takes of Elaina and Lincoln is brimming with love, capturing our family through her eyes for all to see.
Her compositional skills are not limited only to our children, though. Whether capturing panoramic landscape views or a blushing bride on her wedding day, Emily's eye is keen to spot beauty in all that surrounds her in a way that most others' do not.
What Emily brings to the table in the form of creativity, Alex brings in order, technological savvy, and levity. As full-time cybersecurity analyst, he got a chance to cut his teeth on some application and website design, instantly falling in love with learning the inner workings of the software we all take for granted. Knowledge and technique collide to create functional art in the form of apps and web pages (case in point, this entire site!).
Alex is not all bits and bytes, though. He has amassed an extensive number of hours behind the lens, having photographed many weddings and done more than his fair share of portrait shoots. A self-proclaimed "student of light", he strives to learn something new from each client and session and is always working to perfect his craft.
